An absolute Dick

Editor: By exempting his office from a presidential executive order to provide information to the Information Security Oversight Office, Vice President Cheney has sunk to a new low in his efforts to subvert the Constitution by effectively declaring himself as his own branch of government, with full and complete executive and legislative authority, and oversight from neither branch. He actually believes himself to be above the law.

This Vice President has been instrumental in deceiving the American public and leading this nation down the path toward the dark side. Cheney’s influence includes spreading untruths about Iraqi WMDs and the existence of a Saddam-9/11 connection, helping lead our country into an unjust war, endorsing a policy of torture and outing a CIA agent – which in my book is treasonous no matter how you slice it.

His secret energy task force has led to a national energy policy that is achieving less than fabulous results thus far, and our civil liberties continue to be denigrated with dubious inclusions in the Patriot Act and the infamous NSA warrant-less wire-tapping program which Cheney tried to ram-rod past Justice Department reservations by sending then White House Counsel Alberto Gonzales and Chief of Staff Andy Card to the hospital room of ailing Attorney General John Ashcroft.

Currently, he can be found leading the charge to war with Iran. (Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!)

It is astounding that as many as 13% of Americans continue to have a favorable opinion of Vice President Dick Cheney. In my opinion, he is truly the Prince of Darkness and the United States of America and the entire world would be far better off without him in power.
