Days gone by

Editor: President Bush’s latest signing statement attached to new postal laws claims authority to open Americans’ mail without a warrant. This amounts to nothing less than unreasonable search and seizure, and it is the duty of the Judiciary to rightfully declare it unconstitutional.

Back in the day, we used to claim how lucky we were to live in a land of freedom and liberty, absent of such totalitarian claims and practices. I guess that time has passed.
