Milky way

Got fair and balanced reporting? Your editorial published in Wednesday's edition discusses the boon to dairy farmers and the subsequent benefit to the community that the increased milk prices will bring. It goes on to list some of the actions taken by the dairy farmers in reaction to low prices last year.

What is not mentioned is the intentional dumping of milk into the fields that was done by the dairy farmers to manipulate the market and offset the low prices by decreasing supply. I vaguely recall seeing a rather large, perhaps front-page picture accompanying the report of this activity last summer, possibly by this very publication. I most certainly recall the intense odor of sour milk permeating the air as I drove up Route 5 toward Sacramento.
