Editor: During his most recent tirade on this editorial page, Tim Case referred to presidential candidate, Senator John Kerry as a clown who never earned an honest dollar in his life. Given that Senator Kerry is a decorated war hero who served this country during the Vietnam conflict, having been awarded a Bronze Star, a Silver Star, and three Purple Heart medals, I would have to differ with Mr. Case’s assessment.
Suggesting that an individual who has served our country as a U.S. soldier, a Lieutenant Governor, and now a U.S. Senator has never earned an honest dollar is at best short-sighted, and more to the point, moronic.
Mr. Case apparently believes in supporting the troops – at least as long as they don’t come home and speak out with the very freedom that they have courageously fought to protect. He also continues to engage in name-calling – the very tactic for which he derides the ‘sniveling socialists,’ to use another of his terms. Given that, I would have to retort, "What a schmuck!"
Schmuck – A Yiddish term for penis, most often used to describe a man with an attitude of arrogant stupidity.
